Every industrial symbiosis proposal dies in validation.This is the validation.
The question is never whether the stream has value. It is whether the numbers survive a technical review — and answering that has meant a feasibility study measured in months. Below is what replaces it: a route dossier computed from a real stream, where every reported figure is either derived from a balance that closed or is a declared input carrying its source.
A worked dossier, as the engine emits it

Physical
--------
COMPUTED Combustion LHV (Hess's law) 32619.10 MJ [SOURCED]
combustion LHV by Hess's law, H2O(g) reference state (D-A/D-B)
COMPUTED Free-moisture penalty (charged against LHV) -128.50 MJ [SOURCED]
the stream's own free water, driven off before any of the fuel value can be used (D-C) -
distinct from the combustion hydrogen's H2O(g) product, already inside the LHV total above
COMPUTED Flue-gas sensible heat loss (charged against LHV) -1786.97 MJ [SOURCED]
sigma=1.302e+06
the combustion products' own sensible heat, carried away cooling from 298.15 K to 423.15 K
(D-F) - distinct from the free-moisture penalty above and from the H2O(g) product term
already inside the LHV total
COMPUTED Net usable energy (LHV less moisture penalty less flue-gas sensible heat) - TOTAL 30703.63 MJ (sigma: n/a - see note) [SOURCED]
the sum of the 3 lines above, 298.15 -> 423.15 K
Economics
---------
COMPUTED Net Usable Energy (priced) $363.77 [CLIENT]
the Physical section's total, priced against the client gas basis
COMPUTED Landfill/Tipping Fees Avoided $0.00 [CLIENT]
priced against the client landfill/tipping-fee basis
COMPUTED Processing/Transport Deductions $0.00 [CLIENT]
priced against the client transport/processing basis (a magnitude - net_financial_impact()
negates it before summing)
COMPUTED Net Financial Impact $363.77 [CLIENT]
the sum of the three priced terms above
COMPUTED Net Annual Benefit $1,818,839.22 [CLIENT]
Net Financial Impact multiplied by the client's declared annual throughput
Where sigma collapsed, and what collapsed it:
Net usable energy (LHV less moisture penalty less flue-gas sensible heat) - TOTAL: combustion_lhv()'s product-moles terms are built by hand-multiplying product_moles (an uncited operand) against a cited formation enthalpy, so they carry no sigma of their own (R36) - Rule 4 (D-E) collapses this composed total to sigma=None even though flue_gas_sensible_heat()'s own sub-balance total carries a real, positive sigmaWhy this survives review
Lookup tables answer questions. This closes them. Mass closes, energy closes, charge closes, elements close — and where a balance could not close, the dossier says so on the line rather than filling the gap with a plausible number. That is the whole property being offered: nothing in the output is asserted without either a closure behind it or a declared origin in front of it.
